
Elisabeth Hershman, Esq. is Vice President and Director of Litigation Communications at VPG LLP, where she specializes in providing strategic counsel to law firm clients on litigation communications and public relations matters.
Her law firm clients include global and AmLaw 100 firms, where she develops and executes strategic public relations programs that elevate practice and attorney profiles. She has counseled clients in a range of practice areas including securities, antitrust, employment, and real estate. Ms. Hershman conducts high level media relations outreach and works with clients to prepare for media interaction both on a day-to-day and crisis basis.
Prior to joining VPG LLP, Ms. Hershman worked at Chanel Inc. in New York providing counsel in the areas of intellectual property, labor and employment and real estate law. She previously worked at Kate Spade LLC in New York, where she helped execute an anti-counterfeiting program for the global design house. Her activities included product security training for customs officials, and liaising with the company’s global legal teams regarding trademark status. She also educated consumers and retailers about anti-counterfeiting law and reviewed proposed human rights compliance seminar materials for manufacturing facilities abroad.
Ms. Hershman spent five years at Edelman in New York prior to law school, most recently as a Senior Account Supervisor in the Corporate Reputation practice, where she provided communications counsel for a variety of client accounts including Samsung, Global Crossing, Targus and several legal services firms. Ms. Hershman began her career at Edelman in the Technology practice, providing strategic client counsel to create company and brand awareness through a variety of channels including thought leadership programs, client events, media campaigns and third-party allies. She also performed business intelligence research and developed competitive analysis and media audits.
Ms. Hershman received a J.D., cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden, Connecticut and a B.A. in French Literature from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
