
Brooke G. Welch is a vice president and account manager at Van Prooyen Greenfield LLP.
Ms. Welch is experienced in managing all aspects of litigation, including issues research, drafting complaints, obtaining preliminary injunctive relief, motion practice, pre-trial discovery, mediations and drafting settlements. She has counseled both corporate and individual clients in matters involving land use, contract, eminent domain, unfair competition, commercial landlord-tenant and unlawful detainer.
Prior to joining VPG, Ms. Welch was an associate in the Litigation Department at Miller Starr Regalia LLP in Walnut Creek, California. She was previously an extern clerk for Hon. Charles Breyer, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and was a legal intern for Communities for a Better Environment in Oakland, conducting research on environmental justice issues.
Prior to law school, she served as an account executive at eFactor Media, Inc. in San Diego, where she produced strategic plans for advertising, public relations and corporate identity campaigns within the financial and high-tech industries.
She is a member of the Bar of the State of California, and is also a member of the Contra Costa Bar Association, the East Bay Commercial Real Estate Women ("CREW") and the Legal Marketing Association.
Ms. Welch received a B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology and History from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1997, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa. She received a J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2003. She was a member of the Hastings Law Journal, served as entertainment editor of the Hastings Law News, was a member of the Moot Court Board, and also served as a teaching assistant.
