Dana Soong

Vice President

Dana Soong is a Vice President at Van Prooyen Greenfield LLP, where she provides strategic communications and marketing counsel to law firms and civil rights clients.

Ms. Soong brings years of experience as a seasoned litigator in public entity defense and civil rights issues where she represented a variety of public entities, including numerous police departments and municipalities in both state and federal courts. She has extensive experience in litigation, legal research and writing at the trial and appellate levels.

She served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Patrick K.S.L. Yim of the Circuit Court of the First Circuit of Hawaii and as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Criminal Division, of the Northern District of California. Ms. Soong also provided pro bono services for the Volunteer Legal Services Program Family Law Clinic representing clients in dissolution and paternity matters, and as a volunteer for the AIDS Legal Referral Panel representing clients in estate planning matters.

Ms. Soong is a member of the Bar of the States of Hawaii and California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.

She received a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis on Asian American Studies from the University of Washington in 1990 and obtained her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1993.
